Please Identify this Pink Toe

either the tarantula is really dehydrated or it's a male. it's chelicarae are slender and not robust, the abdomen is really narrow and the carapace tells me that it's a male. sorry to say this but in your face
 
A. avicularia, impossible to tell sex by this photo...

ok wise one then explain the large pedipalps. as i said it was a male or did this tarantula gain a LOT of weight in the pedipalps. i want to rub it in but i wont
 
that is how avic avics are built. there is no way to tell from a dorsal view.
the next time it molts check it.
 
When our A. metallica hooked out, he lost the pink on the tips of the pedipalps. i don't know if that would hold true for all Avicularia, but they honestly look like normal pedipalps to me.

On the subject of what species, it looks like an Avicularia............

they use the palps to climb too, therefore they must also have enlarged PADS. i have a confirmed, by molt, female A. avic that looks exactly the same. Im gonna say A. avic.
