either the tarantula is really dehydrated or it's a male. it's chelicarae are slender and not robust, the abdomen is really narrow and the carapace tells me that it's a male. sorry to say this but in your face

When our A. metallica hooked out, he lost the pink on the tips of the pedipalps. i don't know if that would hold true for all Avicularia, but they honestly look like normal pedipalps to me.

they use the palps to climb too, therefore they must also have enlarged PADS. i have a confirmed, by molt, female A. avic that looks exactly the same. Im gonna say A. avic.
