While rehousing my T. Psychedelicus this evening I received a threat posture! Never seen any defensive behavior from this tarantula. The last time she was rehoused she scurried away from the tongs. This time she bit the tongs and gave me this pose. well she's in her new burrow now c:
Just wondering, what is the care for these guys? Humid burrower like Chilobrachys? Love these T's, beautiful with that unique iridescence Always wanted to get one, just wondering if they are fragile to where I can easily lose $150+
Well they are a higher humidity species. You'd want them in damp substrate but not to the point the substrate it wet. I over fill the water dish to add higher humodty and keep her in a enclosure that keeps it from escaping. They are burrowers but I see mine frequently sometimes they will appear at certain times of the day like clock work every day it's kinda funny aha. Overall I'd say it's an easy species to take care of if you know how to keep humidity in an enclosure. The spider is a hefty price but I love mine!
