Finally got a proper sexing with this last molt. Hands down the best eater in my collection... including the juvie Nhandu's. Not afraid of anything, this girl.
The hobby Phrixothrichus scrofa (once called Paraphysa) are mislabeled... According to the lastest revision, the main difference that is obvious in a picture between the two genera is the abdominal mirror patch. One, centered mirror patch = Euathlus. Two separate mirror patches = Phrixothrichus. The hobby scrofa is most likely a Euathlus species like it's cousin Paraphysa parvula (now Euathlus parvulus).
No problem, thought you would like to know since you own one. Phrixothrichus spp. are uncommon in the hobby, especially the US. I don't think we have any. The species I've seen pictured the most are Phrixotrichus vulpinus.
Vlad has a Phrixotrichus sp. shown here so you can get an idea of the difference. http://arachnoboards.com/gallery/phrixotrichus-sp-black.39573/
@CEC I'm actually pretty happy that it's an Euathlus. I love that genus. So, what should it be labeled? Hobby Phrixothrichus scrofa? Euathlus sp. "Scrofa"? Or just Euathlus sp.?
