Sounds about right since p.metallicas are sold at 3rd or 4th instar. By far my favorite species. They put on soo much size between molts and the colors get brighter and brighter!
@CyclingSam Hard for me to say, in that pic there is a perfect circular dot between the anterior book lungs. I've never seen consistency in the morphology/appearance of the dot IMO. That is, the dots do not always look like my P rufi, his was very prominent. It was a raised region for sure. However, the spot need not be raised to be male.
I'm thinking male on yours, could be wrong.
