Appears to be Pandinus sp....but I'm not certain. Im not very good with identifying scorpions....what's throwing me on this one is how thick the tail is. Pandinus dictator?
The claws on my Marcus Aurelius have very pronounced bumps on them where this little girl appears to have more smooth bumps.
Also, the triangle behind the eyes is a good indicator between P. imperator and P. dictator - with the P. imperator triangle being much more sharp and pronounced than dictator.
I'm not familiar enough with H. spinifer, but if they were described as Asian, they will not be Pandinus. Pandinus are African.
This is a shot of Marcus Aurelius which shows how raised the bumps are on his claws.
Lovely girlie you have there. View media item 35401
@VanessaS that's so cool....dictator have more pronounced "hair", too, right? I'm thinking that's one way to tell imperator and dictator apart because they look so much alike (aside from dictator getting larger). @YagerManJennsen that's a nice specimen you have there. It looks quite large. Congrats on the new brood!
