I never really gave much effort to sexing this way and am completely new to it. Is it a dead give away female when you can see "lips"? And if so does this apply to most if not all species?
It is definitely a female. Yes, those pouty lips are a dead give-away. Not all species have them and not all females within a species will have them. Sometimes it depends upon what position they are in.
