Tarantula for sexing
I want to know what kind of tarantula this is (if a tarantula, but i guess it is one).
I found this fella in my backyard, with a sack on her back, assuming its a "she".
Would like to provide good housing and environment, but i need to know what species she is.

She ate a worm whch doubled her size, so i guess she was hungry. Quite agressive if you come near her reach and view.
Eyes on front and both sides, almost facing back. I have her on sand and with some water sprayed on the walls of the container.

Any advice on housing is greatly appreciated.

that's not a tarantula.. its a wolf spider. probably in the hogna genus. i don't know much about wolf spiders but thats definitely not a tarantula. :)

Annabelle. Thanks for the answer. Does anyone know how long does a wolf spiders´s eggsack take to mature?
I would like to keep her close to see how this happens.. A lot of small spiders on her back is something to admire...

I have caught a couple of these guys crawling around my house. I have tried to feed them with small crickets and see how long i could keep the mother and young-lings alive but didn't turn out to well. There were about 40-50 young on her back and the Wolf Spider was about 1.5in. The Wolf webbed a little but then became very weak for some reason and there soon after passed away :(. then i just let the little ones go free outside i hope they lived :) I live in FL and they are supposedly very common. It is amazing however as you said that they care their young on their back similar to Nurse Spiders.
