Help to identify
Was wondering if anyone can confirm if this is a Texas Brown or if not what is it? Still new so don't know everything tarantula.

Looks like Aphonopelma hentzi (Texas brown). Is it wild caught, or did you purchase it?

Purchased it. On a face book page I am on one said probably Texas Brown another dealer said doesn't look like it. Just wanna house it properly.

Their coloration is somewhat variable, but looks close enough to me. Here are a couple examples:

If anyone can help confirm or deny it would be @AphonopelmaTX

There is nothing in the photos that would lead to a positive ID. The only thing I can tell from the photos is that it looks immature

@JAC3674 If an ID is really needed, I would need a molt to examine the type and arrangement of the hairs on the inside face of the coxa of leg 1 combined with the spermathecae shape if its a female. See the following post for an example of what that means. https://arachnoboards.com/threads/aphonopelma-armada.281336/

Fortunately, just about all Aphonopelma species of the United States and Mexico have the same captive care requirements so you don't really need a proper ID if all you need is to know how to house and care for it.
