Looks like a male. Seems to have molted recently, so if you still have the exuvia looking at that would be more definitive. Great colors, even from the bottom! :D

Well, take it with a grain of salt - ventral sexing is not an exact science sometimes. Fairly confident on this one, though.

Next time he molts, I'll get a pic. If it end up for sure male, I'll just enjoy watching him for as long as I can. I kept a couple of tarantulas 10 years ago and then moved, and I just recently started keeping them again, and this little guy has made me fall even more in love with tarantulas than I ever have before! Made my heart just burst with joy :)
