tbh I'm not sure, as I don't have sp hon-sej(would like to get some one day), and all the sp silvers I got are already 5-8cm leg span. But googling pics of them when smaller, it seems like sp hon-sej is basically orange, whereas sp silver is more similar to the typical Ornithoctoninae spp when smaller.
