Looks to be some sort of aphonopelma species, but it is in an arboreal enclosure and needs to be in a smaller, terrestrial set up or else it can fall and rupture its abdomen.

Okay so the shoe box was okay to keep it in? How many holes should it have? It was set up for a salamander but I put it in there because I thought the plastic shoebox was too small but I suppose not. Thank you! Also what kind of substrate would be best? Is eco earth okay? Thanks for y’all’s responses!

Yup, the shoebox is perfectly fine, and a few vent holes on the sides of the enclosure. Eco earth will work, just fill the water dish up every now and then and you should be good.

Thank you! I appreciate it okay will do. I’ll keep ya posted! And I’ll send more pics. I’m guessing it’s a Aphonopelma hentzi or A. Waconum. Myself
