I found this little tarantula on a trip to Roraima, a tabletop mountain from Venezuela close to Brasilian border.
It's about 3 centimeters.
I have no ideea what it is.
Anyone can help? :-)
Certainly not a tarantula (ie not Theraphosidae), its obviously and adult male, from one of the other mygalomorph families, my first guess would be the trapdoor family Actinopodidae, i suspect Actinopus sp. I cant easily find a picture of any males on a quick internet search. It could be another family, but i dont think there are any funnel-webs (Hexathelidae) in Venezuela.
