depends how you set them up, with a low ceiling they treat it like a boulder and make surface tunnels, but if you give them the depth they will make the classic straight down bonnetina burrows.
if you Google bonnetina studies there's a couple that show pictures of their natural burrows. I've got mine to exhibit both behaviors depending on the setup.
