So I posted him here earlier, but no one was positive, he molted! And really quite beautiful... but uhm is this a P auratus?? Its just not what I was told to expect I guess. I cant measure him but hes less than 2 inches for sure.. likely not larger than an inch, but he never fully stretches.
Why do you doubt that it is Phormictopus auratus? Red abdomen, golden shimmer on the carapace - everything is going in the right direction. I don't have the species, but if I search the net I would say you got what you bought.

idk if I am color blind, but I see so much blue coloration that is not described elsewhere, I was told young spiderlings of this one are brown, and yes while this molt it gained red on the abdomen, I wouldn't call it golden on the carapace tbh atm, I dont see it as gold anyway, but the main thing is that blue on the abdomen, I have a video I cant upload that kinda shows it better than the picture I suppose.
Upon googling, I've found one T thats much larger that has the blue I see, so i suppose this is actually normal, idk if I can post the photo
I cant see it in the photo either, but on video its all over it moves as the T moves, it's very pretty and just unexpected. I don't think videos can post here though sadly
That's definitely an auratus my friend. I wasn't 100% at first on the photo you posted before, but it's had the moult where it goes from sling to juvi showing adult colours.
