Brachypelma Albopilosum 5”
Honduran Curly hair
Confirmed female
So should I change the name it was sold under by the breeder? The breeder is still selling them under that name.
This is how I summarise it....For many years Brachypelma had what was affectionately called "red leg" or "red rump" varieties.

The only Brachypelma now are typically what was the "red legs" (with B albiceps being the only exception)
In alphabetical order:
B albiceps
B auratum
B baumgartni
B boehmei
B emilia
B hamorii
B klaasi
B smithi
Note: B annitha is no longer a valid species, they are actually B smithi and what was usually listed as B smithi in the hobby for many years are (most likely) actually B hamorii. So that's the Brachypelma sorted 👍

The "red rump" Brachypelma as was...i.e. vagans, verdezi, khalenbergi, schroederi etc, along with the albopilosus (previously albopolisum) are now Tliltocatl

I hope that makes sense. 🙂
