Apologies for asking as I see conflicting info on this all the time..... I thought cream around the eyes was an indicator of the lowland species? I have 2 AF, 1 LL and 1 HL (I think), one has cream and a lighter carapace (the LL) the other purple around the eyes and darker carapace (the HL)?

Abdomen markings are different on both too. So guess what I am saying is that I am even more confused than ever before. Maybe I should post a pic of both and see what other people also say. :)

I have just stumbled upon your question. In my experience there is no pure HL or LL in the hobby anymore, most captive bred subfusca are mixtures probably. There seem to be differences between individual specimen tho, and some people like to label them as HL or LL based on assumptions.
