Grammostola pulchra 5 cm diagonal leg span. Purchased as female, but unless the uterus externus and spermathecae are very under developed at this size, it's looking very male to me. I've never raised this species, so I'm not certain.
I folded a few sheets of paper towel so that there was several layers thick, and put my cell phone face down underneath with the flashlight on, pointing up into the paper towel. That gets the backlit effect going. The camera nor lens are anything special, a Sony Nex-5N with their 55-210 mm lens and a 10 mm macro ring. This photo was at 55 mm, 200 ISO, 1/125 shutter, f/4.5. It is significantly cropped.

Interesting. I will definitely check again after the next moult, but that could be several months from now. I can see what could be spermathecae but I feel like they should be more developed or more visible.
