She was out today and I got a good photo of her. I paired her a few months back. Is it me or does she look gravid?
She sure looks gravid! ;) Fingers are crossed for a successful egg sac. :)

I'm quite jealous, to be absolutely honest.

I love this species. I paired my female last year. Still hoping she will drop.

Your girl does look nice and round:)
Awesome, it would be great to have more of these available in the hobby. I hope your girl comes through for you. My 3rd sling looked like it molted male sometime in the last few days. I didn't look too close last night but if so I'll have a backup in case I need it.

Good luck..I'm new to the Hobby and can not find one for love nor money in the UK. The great people on here have advised or various other species to look at but this is the one I really want. They look so awesome.

Both these and H. chilensis are near impossible to find in the U.S. now too. I think Chile prohibited their exportation back in 2016. Certainly we should have them captive bred in the hobby and hopefully they will become established and then much easier to find slings for sale!

Guess I will be waiting a while. I have been reading that they are challenging to breed but I'll keep checking for slings where I can.

H. chilensis females can be quite aggressive w/the males. I talked to one of the first breeders I believe, s/he told me just keep some cardboard ready to separate them. Person said you wouldn't think such a docile T would turn into a killing machine, but the females often do I was told.
