Thanks for your input dark abyss. Have you got a picture of its underside? I did measure it and its about 2.5 inches also I think I got carried away! Would a male have a similar looking feature but it may stay the same size as the spider grows, I think its called the gono slit. It will be great to see other pics for comparison I will ask my friend to post who also has a L2 appophysis

I am not sure if it's possible to check the molt for the parts at L1, but it's definitely worth a try! Can you send pictures of the molt if possible? Thanks.
