My suspect male P. auratus just molted a couple of hours ago. First molt in my possession. I will have to wait a bit to pull its molt since it is standing on it presently.
They are super aggressive eaters and I have never seen mine decline a meal unless in premolt. They are very quick and some can be defensive. Mine like to charge the water dish as I am pouring the water. I have never seen a threat pose however and have not had any flick hairs. Very fun and active genus. I would not consider it a beginner T just due to its quick/skittish reactions.
