Leptoglossus occidentalis

Another bug I saved from the cold... Found on my driveway during freezing temperatures. Thought it was dead and was going to pin it but after being brought inside it quickly recovered.
Upon further research, I decided to put it in my refrigerator. Apparently they don't eat during the winter months. If it survives I'll release it in spring.
 
@Vanessa I mean aside from the Horrida there are like a bajillion sassies that will put a hurting on you that look a lot like most true bugs. Have you ever been poked by one of them? It sucks big time.
 
In central NY (USA) I've collected them from indoors, where they sneak into homes to avoid the cold and remain fairly active on windowsills and walls. I was able to keep them all winter in small display enclosures. They crawled around on sticks and fed from fruit like apples, pears, and oranges (and took an occasional sip from a wet cotton ball).
