Lasiodora parahybana Female ~2"
It's hard to imagine that a gigantic Lasiodora parahybana started out life as a wee squeak of a spiderling.
Yeah, mine was the size of a pencil eraser and running into its hide at the slightest disturbance about a year ago, and yesterday it ran toward, and bit the turkey baster I use for filling water dishes. He completely bypassed the usual hair kicking shenanigans.
 
@FrDoc They are one of those 50/50 species - I've heard of 50% being absolute puppy dog sweethearts and 50% being the most defensive in people's collections. I have two females and I am hoping they both fall into the 'puppy dog' group.
