Brunneria borealis
The Mantis Menagerie

Brunneria borealis

I finally found another population of my favorite North American mantis species. Previously, the only place I could find them was a local nature preserve (problematic for collecting to breed them). Hopefully, I can raise a lot of these since they are parthenogenetic.
@VanessaS technically a she since all individuals are female. Also, make sure to provide the hatchlings springtails since I’ve heard that they’re rather timid and small and can’t take ff just yet.

@mantisfan101, I have heard that they have trouble with fruit flies, so I was already planning to incorporate springtails. It still amazes me that such a large mantis is so fragile and - incompetent as a nymph.
