This is the biggest girl of this species that I have found... and looking gravid to boot. Something for my little ones to look forward to. Released back into the wild.
@RezonantVoid, same with me. I had to take a double take even though I found her in the right micro-environment for the main two Stanwellia species near me. They max out at approximately 5cm leg span. She was about that. Her chungus abdomen just made her look bigger. As an oldie, she has lost a bit of colour contrast that the younguns have... A beauty, nonetheless!
@Dave1969 oh damn, if it were me I probably would have kept her until summer finished, but here's to hoping she gets under a good rock and dodges any that come past.

Hopefully, she was in a gully area with wet vegetation. Her problem would occur if there was enough preheating to dry out and then burn the nearby plant life. The way they construct their home, any close fire could turn it into a pizza oven. Fingers crossed that the fire danger remains just that.
