What's the scale on it? How big is it I mean.
With those eyes and legs I'd guess wolf spider but the setae is kind of throwing me to even consider jumping spider if it's actually really small.
@NYAN I know, I thought maybe they were being covered by the setae and the angle of the picture or they could have been the little dark and black dots on the front of the head.
@Stratton So it is a male Neoscona to @NYAN got it right. I confirmed it this morning by seeing it hanging out by the web of a large female that has set up camp on my front porch. He is looking for love.
@Stratton The females actually look relatively similar. I guess all spiders have dimorphism when they are mature. These look a bit more thin and they don’t hang out in webs.
