I only got her as an adult, so not directly to sling keeping. But they really need a hide, even more than other species because they are really fast when they want to be, and it's better if they directly run into their hide than all over the place. Also, they are really fast and aggressive with grabbing food. And if possible feed it only when the enclosure is on the floor. I've seen someone feed theirs and within seconds it was on the floor and 3 feet away from the enclosure with the feeder, even in an enclosure that opened from the top.
Wow! The sling really enjoys its hide and is not big enough to knock the enclosure down for she is only 2cm long. Also she hunts unusually. I’ll paste what I said to my friends as a joke yesterday about her eating starting NOW! It crept up behind the clueless cricket as it sized it up. Then, as if in slow motion, gently placed a foot on the cricket’s back. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, pounced on it sending its lethal fangs through the cricket’s eyes, then it chewed up the head sending juices dribbling down its fangs. With the cricket still alive, the sling stuck a fang through the core of the cricket, immobilizing and killing it instantly. Nom, nom, nom!
