My White Knee molted successfully but dropped a back limb on the 2nd day of molt. Why ?? Anyone experienced this before ? Faced this similar issue with my Machala after molt.
I'm guessing there was something wrong internally with the leg so it dropped it, my Ami sp. "Panama" dropped one of its front legs shortly after moulting.
Thanks guy. Just curious to know whether this is a normal phenomenon with spiders to loss a limb or 2. I guess it is insignificant since they have so many to spare and has the ability to re-generate back. Wonder is there a scientific explanation behind this limb lost.
Yeah, this just happens. Nothing to fret about, a couple molts from now and you won't even be able to tell. Last time it happened to me, I'm pretty sure it was because the T chose a god-awful place to molt and got itself wedged in a corner. I've also had a (seemingly) perfectly healthy T simply detach its leg one day. Found it in the water dish as if it was just another bolus. I'm sure there was something wrong with the leg, but I couldn't tell you what.
