Phyllocrania paradoxa "Ghost mantis" l4-l5

These are my first mantis I have owned. Love these guys I have 3. 2 females and a male.
Thanks man. Ya they really are spectacular little creatures. Very intelligent looking. How can you tell if they are male or female. I figured this one was male as the other 2 are green.

How often do you feed yours?I try to feed every day but I have been having problems cultuvating my fruit flies.

Well, if the other 2 are green it means you have a female batch. You can tell by the thickness of the crest. The males have a thin, brittle crest and the females have a thick much more filled in crest. Also the females only have 6 abdominal segments and the males have seven, plus the males last segment is tiny. What I do is I feed flies, crickets and mealworms. All I have to do is hold it in front of them with tongs. I also only feed them when they get really skinny. So maybe every 3 days or so. Also make sure to keep the environment moist and warm. Just clean out mold if needed. And is they ever refuse food when they are skinny, they are either about to molt or scared of the food. So what I do is smash the food's head and put it up to the mouth so they can taste it.
