Chilobrachys Sp.

This was a male. these pictures where taken shortly before he bit me.
Thats entirely dependent on if you tried picking up a male from a notoriously defensive OW genus, but I wouldn't exactly go as fas as to say you're an idiot
What happened was, I was trying to move the spider back under the log I found it under, and I was getting frustrated by its stubbornness (as it was just sitting their). And so, very rashly, I decided to grab it. It whipped around in a flash and got me right on the joint (on my thumb). I felt terrible for the spider. I had refused to acknowledge its red flags, and my patience failed me. Thankfully, I didn't quickly try to shake the spider away, and it was not injured in any way. It was returned safely back to its home without any mishaps.
