Ceratogyrus darlingi 2.5” dls

My suspect male C darlingi, Albus dumbledork, was feeling very friendly yesterday.
I'm asking because C. darlingi males have horns at 2.5'' even at pen-ultimate (3''). I know because I own females and males of C. darlingi. You clearly have C. marshalli and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Carapace pattern resembles nothing similar to C. darlingi. C. darlingi has silver carapace striping. C. marshalli has black striping on carapace.

Thread where I explained it with pictures: https://arachnoboards.com/threads/c...hould-a-horn-be-expected.330222/#post-3024010

Also MM C. darlingi reference notice white/silver striping on carapace:

I demand pictures.
I just tried to snap a pic and she was like NOPE! But her horn looks rear facing to me.

What makes you say they look like C darlingi? I bought them as C darlingi from a vendor I have purchased from for years. If they sold me the wrong species I will have EXTREMELY COMPLEX FEELINGS because I love the coloration of C darlingi, but I prefer the horn on C marshalli.

Edit: Ah, I see you posted since I started writing. I will take a closer look at my spiders.

This is really bothering me now. I have been looking forward to that lovely cream and silver coloration. These guys have been more green/brown. I was wondering when they would look more grey.

Both seem to have little nubbin' horns about the same size now that I am looking at them. Prior to this most recent molt, one's horn was more pronounced than the other.

I love them no matter what, but I was looking forward to C darlingi!

I'll make a thread on how to Identify whether someone has C. darlingi or C. marshalli soon so people can understand which is which in the future. I'll tag you if I ever get to it if you want me too. Someone else earlier this month I believe also mistaken their C. marshalli as C. darlingi.

I'm talking to a friend in the UK who has a C darlingi about the same size as mine, and the carapace and color of the specimen is identical to mine. I'm going to hold out hope that I got what I was sold, but we'll see.
