On my versi, they are definitely female. Female versi are easy to ID when I see them up close. The females have a VERY noticeable white lip, anterior too. Males don't. Wish all Avics had that. On yours I can't tell because what MIGHT be white is gray on my end. My versi are about 3.5" DLS too.
