I wish I could help you but I don’t have enough experience with Brachypelma identity. Those two are very close.

From what I can see, it appears female but they can always surprise you.

Is the person who this T for sale experienced, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and reputable? If the answer is yes then that should help you make a choice.
 
@Drea I have the same thoughts too. I'm really not knowledgeable with ventrals and my stand for it being a female is the distance between the 2nd set of book lungs being much wider and the slit between them. That's pretty much it though.. Could you help me identify it being a Smithi/Hamorii instead? I have posted a top view pic in the gallery too.. much appreciated!
