I got him/her as a 1 3/4" - 2" sling. Now, 8 months and 3 moults later, (s)he is almost 3 1/2". I thought it was nice to show its growth comparing to that hide/burrow, because it's always one and the same. ;)
My smallest girl went from 1/4" to 3" in about 18 months. That is one of the reasons why I will always recommend this species to brand new people over all the other species suitable for beginners. You don't have to wait years to have a real tarantula.
