Avicularia Avicularia Enclosure
The enclosure of my A. Avicularia M1 "Avie". Please ignore the dirty water dish, I cleaned the enclosure after the picture ;-). It's an Exo Terra Nano Tall enclosure, acrylic top with lots of ventilation, natural cork board as a backdrop, cork bark as a hide and a fake plant (pink, of course).
Nice setup. How'd you do the acrylic drop in- did you glue under the screen? I've seen a couple of different ways people mod it.

Thank you! This video is pretty much exactly how I did the mod. I removed the screen top entirely. Came out very clean by using clear silicone + a measured piece of plexiglass - did 4 lids in one go. The rubber gaskets on the top sometimes put up a fight, but it all worked quite well with a box cutter and some pliers.

Hadnt seen that video before, short I like it. Is your T using the tubes? Some of my Avics do, and ultimately build a canopy over them. Then only the crickets use them

I was hoping that she would make a home in that bark, but she's one of those Ts that always does the unexpected. Leaving webbing all over the enclosure, without much of a plan... I had some leftover cork when building the enclosure and just glued it on the back there - now it's her favorite spot . I've had her for about a month now, so I'm excited to see if she'll construct something cool. My C. Versicolor made a tube next to a bark, but does not construct any additional webbing. Just hangs out on the wall all day long.
