Looking for a solid ID on my new baby slippers (:
Too hard to ID Avics by a SINGLE pic. I had A. metallica, looked like 2 different Avics in 2 pics taken seconds apart. This is not a genus people ID with pictures, esp with the quality of that picture. There's only a few Avics one can ID by sight, let alone with one pic. Even some of those you cannot always tell with one pic.

You'll be waiting a long time for that. Lol
These are currently classified as a variant of Avicularia avicularia.
It has the characteristics of hobby "metallica", now known as Avicularia avicularia morphotype #6.
 
I also don't see how setae structure would change from picture to picture. The color often does (do to many factors) but that's only supportive evidence. Color isn't sufficient alone when IDing.
