I arrived home from work this morning and started feeding some of the critters. When I lifted the lid on one of my southern NSW funnel-webs (A. sutherlandi) her burrow was closed. Lifting her container to have a little looksie this surprise greeted my previously tired eyes.
@MrGhostMantis, unsure. She came to me as possible sub-adult a little over half her potential maximum length. Any hanky panky has not been chaperoned by me.
Lucky man, nearly guarantee this one is fertile. I've never had any non-T primitive drop phantom sacs even with significant power feeding (I actually experimented to see if they could make them) but after 2 years I've never been able to get it to happen. Fingers crossed for several hundred deadly slings soon!
