I received this guy from one of my old high school biology teachers, who received him wild caught from one of his students years before, who ID'd as (title). I'm guessing he could be Aphonopelma hentzi? He was light brown before his molt. (Now darker) Looking for second opinions + more trained eyes.
I hope you can find a positive ID! I am new to tarantula so do not know. Anyways I am so new I just got my first tarantula yesterday, wild caught Texas tarantula, posted its picture in the gallery ("Ocho") for a positive ID as well, but going to be releasing it back to where it came from later today. Fascinating and astonishing creatures, thank you for sharing.
