i have this spider, but i dont know what species could be exactly. im only know that it comes from Mexico. Please help id it. it looks like its already adult,but only has 4,5cm body lenght. Thanks
Yes, it seems to be an Aphonopelma. Its impossible to say a species yet for most north american Aphonopelma, and and even worse challenge for the mexican sp. Probably it's undescribed.
It is illegal to collect or keep native species in mexico without specific permits and without being a registered UMA. (Unidad de Medio Ambiental). If you know where this species if from you should release it safely there, or face the risk of legal prosecution.
