Aphonopelma seemanni
That method is often not as easy as it looks and can be risky if not done properly. If I have to see their underside, which is very rarely, I prefer cupping them.

My Aphonopelma seemanni would never hold still long enough for me to do that if I wanted to. Not big into handling but not

@MikeofBorg @VanessaS @RezonantVoid The only reason I had to take this picture is because I needed to show another member what the book lungs look like on an A. Semanni and didn’t feel like waiting on her to climb against the glass and I have no idea how to do the “cup” method lol. I usually never pinch grab my Ts unless it’s absolutely needed, and I usually never handle my Ts unless they decide to scurry up on my during a rehouse or unless it’s for educational purposes with my A. Chalcodes in which case I’m very cautious

Yeah doing sexing of arboreal Ts is much easier. Just have to be patient to catch them on the glass. Terrestrials can be a pain except by molt or placing them in a clear container.
