Aphonopelma chalcodes
My pretty and freshly molted female. The oldest in my collection still living. Never been paired. One day she will find a stud.
@crone she just molted yesterday. Coupled with her age it usually takes about a month for her carapace to lighten up. Pretty common with older blondes.
 
@crone a general rule of thumb is that the younger the t, the more vibrant they appear. The older the more dull. But this is not always the case. Some are actually quite the opposite.
 
My girl has yet to moult with me and it's been over two years. She hasn't eaten since October. She is probably around the 4.5" mark, so still smallish. She is definitely going to outlive me.
