Aphonopelma chalcodes 1.75” dls

I got this spider as a freebie in January 2019 and it just molted a few days ago after not molting for over a year, finally reaching a whopping 1.75” dls. Adult colors, finally!
They are so much different at juveniles! Very different. I got mine as an adult so I'm guessing she's probably late 19th century 😅

At least it left its molt out for me so I can sex it. At this rate though, I'll have females of other species die of old age before this thing molts again.

I am going to predict female. Based on my unscientific analysis of the chelicerae size to carapace ratio. Let me know if I am right 🤞
