AF C. darlingi

She closed off her burrow a bit ago for what I assumed was premolt...
"Nope, never mind, hungry."
I didn't know there was different variants of darlingi.

It doesn't look like mine, either, mine is much much darker and the carapace is much more...well, patterned, for lack of a better description.

@cold blood Kezy was being a smartie, there aren't any other forms. Although I must say, this surely looks like the other darlingi's I've raised. Could you post a picture of yours when you get a chance?

There are different many different localities, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique & Botswana varients. Limpopo(SA) is the lightest form and gets darker towards Zimbabwe & Mozambique ;)

@cold blood I have one that is very dark grey in colour and metallic carapace which I am assuming is from further NE. I have a younger specimen which looks quite similar to @EulersK here and I am awaiting a pair from Limpopo :). Who knew these common baboons had so much going on eh? :p
