Agree that it's male. The "flap" found on females is internal and not seen in the outside. The "nub" you're seeing is likely the patch of epiandrous fusillae, which are male reproductive parts. Females don't have that - the anterior lip of the epigastric furrow in females is smooth and sticks out slightly all the way across the width of the epigastric furrow.
