      Wow, those mature males are absolutely stunning!
      That setup isn't good, though. They need deeper substrate and lose the gel in the water dish and replace it with fresh water.

      Whoop whoop! Congrats! I agree with VanessaS, your tarantulas will live a lot longer if you remove the dangerous height gap and replace the gel with fresh water to decrease bacteria growth which can be harmful to tarantulas.

      Display/breed tank, substrate is 6+ inches deep, low height in permanent setups, and those are tumbled sanded glass, not water crystals.
