Next time you could get away with a bigger door, they don't need that much substrate. An inch will do them fine. They shouldn't spend much time on the substrate at all. But not bad! Let us know how it works. Also, what did you use to glue the hinges on?
@thefatunicorn Ah, since that's the case I'll let you know I just had a problem with hot glue on one of the acrylic terrestrial enclosures I made. The top of the hasp came away from the acrylic. I had to redo it with acrylic cement, and I've also read to scratch up the area before applying glue-- the abrasiveness helps provide a greater bond.
