My S. morsitans is not at pretty as this one, but, it is very chill compared to.my E. rubripes and my C. aurantiipes. It's hunt appears to be in slow motion and a little clumsy in comparison.
@Dave1969 I have the regular and Tablelands form, the latter is definitely more vivid and nicer to look at. And yes, these guys are puppy dogs compared to most pedes, I actually pick mine up sometimes
@RezonantVoid@Dave1969 I need me a Tablelands haha & i ahve 1 of this particular Mortisons left i will photograph later but found ona trip recently in nsw
@RezonantVoid You definitely haven’t seen pictures of the Malaysian Jewel then, haha. THAT is truly the most beautiful species of centipede in my eyes.
@Teds ts and Inverts had a look online, they do indeed look impressive but we also get black Ethnostigmus with blue legs here too if you look around enough. This is Morsitans Tablelands form, with very washed out colouration due to the photo zoom
The red on top is angular, and not as visible from the front but more rich when viewed from behind. Same goes for the blue legs
@BushYeti you can find them in Stanthorpe by the bucket load, one year in the back yard at our accommodation we found 150mm+ ones under rock. I also found a tiny (20mm total length) scorpion that was pure red but wasn't allowed to bring it with us. Wonderful place over there lol
