:(
Well upon closer inspection, she isn't quite dead!!! While she is obviously in a bad spot and i honestly have little hope but she has been provided water (i dripped some on her mouth since she cant move enough to get to the water dish) and i will check on her constantly. Hoping for the best...

@Theneil God, I do hope she pulls through! Please keep us updated and good luck. This is my favorite species. She's so beautiful. Sending good thoughts your way!

@Little Grey Spider Thank you. i will do everything i can to help her pull through. The last time i checked on her she was able to move her legs significantly more than when i first got her (which is still hardly at all) but i think/hope she is more or less physically unharmed and most of the issue is dehydration. could be from the heat pack that was in the box. i haven't heard back from the seller yet, but i think it could just be ignorance in how to pack, not that it makes it any better but communication before shipping was good and the box had a thermal liner in it and a heat pack so i think they were TRYING to go above and beyond but got everything backwards. I was also supposed to get a mature male also but the second spider is deffinitely not a mature male (i am incompetent ventral sexing but i question if it is even male) So either i got screwed OR the other party doesn't know as much as they think, by a long shot....

Well she is still far from being good, but she seems to have improved significantly so far. she is now able to move her legs probably about 20% of what her full travel should be. Still not even close to strutting around but when i flip her over to give water she attempts to struggle against the handling. She's still much too weak to do anything but at least she is trying now and regaining some motor skills...

Thing are looking LESS grim.

@Theneil I had a similar issue with a my a chalcodes and it pulled through although it was some one more experienced than myself who nursed it back to health

I fell asleep for a few hours and when i just checked on her she is doing MUCH better she is able to walk now, though not as well as she should and she doesn't appear able to climb a smooth surface. she is also able to struggle now and even flipped herself right side up when i flipped her over to water her. i moved her into a more typical enclosure with the water dish flush with the sub's surface so she can hopefully hydrate herself. (i was keeping her in the "icu" -basically just paper towel substrate because it was much easier to handle her without sub getting on her and imparing visibility.) i will still check on her constantly but it is actually starting to look promising. :)

@Ungoliant She is a G. pulchripes.
