@Nightstalker47 I have no issues admitting I'm wrong if that's the case. I've never sexed these guys at all. I personally think I see a slit though, albeit a small and tough to see one due to the photo and the fact that the spider is still light from the molt.
@PidderPeets it’s pretty small as it jumped from around 2” to its current size. I’m planning to get a jewelers microscope. I’m confident in sexing larger T’s, just not sure if it will be as prominent even with a microscope
@Phormic28 I bought a cheap microscope online (it was designed more as a first microscope for kids), but it's helped me sex a few smaller molts. I've also found that shining a black light underneath the molt seems to make the lines of spermathecae much more visible than a traditional flashlight, so that might be worth a shot if you happen to have a black light
@Phormic28This is what I ended up getting. It's not the greatest in the world, but it does the job and I like that it has proper slides and a solid surface I can put the molt on. I've been able to confirm spermathecae on 1.5" molts with it before, so it does what it's supposed to and that's all I can ask
