3” Heteroscodra maculata

I’m leaning female on this one but I would like a second opinion.
If it's dorsal side is still mostly tan and brown instead of white and black/dark brown, then it's probably male. The vent looks female-ish, but they're easier to sex by looking at them from the top side.

I think it's looking more female than male, especially with the white markings on the legs. My male never had those, his have always been dark brown. I don't have any real good pics of him because he's a reclusive sucker, but here is one of my male (maybe just a bit bigger than yours at the time of the photo) and one of Cold Blood's big female for comparison.

Ventral sexing these is difficult at best...

With all the species I’ve had and the years I’ve been in the hobby, I have never once owned either H Mac or S cal until now. Lol I don’t know much about them to be honest. I just keep them the same as most of my other arboreals, just drier. What’s their growth rate even like?

Mine is very reclusive and shy - he'll be out, but as soon as he sees light or senses movement nearby, he zips into his hiding spot. Reminds me a lot of Psalmopoeus, as that's how they prefer to be kept (arboreal setup with lots of places to hide and will build complex web & debris curtains). He's grown moderately fast, as he was about 3" when I got him back in May, has molted once and he's 4" now, but has been in premolt for almost 4 months and hasn't eaten in 100 days. I'm half suspecting that he'll mature with this next molt, but if not it won't be far off.

Sounds a lot like my O vio male. Hit 4” then just got fatter and fatter until he stopped eating then continued getting fatter for like 3 months. Then hooked out at around 6”
