This little kid was given to me with two labels on its bottle. A little over 1”. I’ve already ruled out one for sure. The other was OBT. Seems a bit dark and not as hairy compared to pics I’ve seen of others the same size. Premoult maybe? Or something other than OBT? Fossorial-ish. Lots of webbing.
Definitely not an OBT. OBTs are a golden brown when they’re slings. Kinda looks like a Chilobrachys sp. but I’m not sure. Hopefully someone else can chime in
Are you thinking Selenocosmia crassipes? That would be cool. But how often are they found in the US pet trade? I haven’t really heard about them, even by their “common” name.

I'm pretty sure their common name is something along the lines of "Whistling Tarantula" or "Australian Barking Spider", because they're well known for the loud hissing sounds they make when they stridulate.

Is it in pre-molt or is it just that dark? It's abdomen doesn't have the typical OW African markings like most OBT's have. I'd agree with @Olan that it looks similar to a S. kovariki, but I suggest a bit more growth to be sure.
